Here's the official BBC blurb for Doomsday:
"It's the end of an epic journey as two mighty armies wage war across the Earth, with the human race caught in the middle. But as an unstoppable terror emerges from beneath Torchwood, the Doctor faces an even greater dilemma – does saving the world mean the death of Rose Tyler?
David Tennant plays the Doctor and Billie Piper plays Rose.

Thanks to Sky for finding a nice picture of Freema in this article.
Will Freema Agyeman be the new companion for the Christmas Special?

Well, the discussion has started so I'll address each actress as it is announced. The first one, and the most convincing, is Freema Agyeman, who plays Adeola in
Direct from the BBC site. Here's the Army of Ghosts blurb. Careful, spoilers!
Yes, it's true. The BBC have confirmed that Billie Tyler as Rose will leave the Doctor Who series in the episode - Doomsday. With so many references to how dangerous the life they lead is and even the Beast's comment that she will die in battle very soon it was inevitable that she was going to leave at the end of Season 2 - even though she's been contracted for series 3!!! How's that then? Don't know. Maybe we've been misinformed. Or maybe she dies in Doomsday and returns as a ghost or a hologram in series 3. Who knows.

Well, it's been revealed that Rose and the Doctor are barely in Love & Monsters and that the story revolves around a group of Doctor fans that have regular meetings to discuss their research. (The group is called L.I.N.D.A) No mention of Clive though.

What a great episode. Definitely worth watching many times. The set designs, the graphics, the storyline, the direction and acting, all match perfectly. Definitely my favourite of the whole series.

Well, it's been a long time coming but we've finally got the BBC blurb for the episode Fear Her. Sounds, um, interesting:

When the Tardis lands in 2012, the Doctor plans to show Rose

Wow, what a corker. The Doctor and Rose lose the TARDIS on a planet that is being held in orbit around a black hole. This is better than Event Horizon and just as creepy. A human, than the alien Oods are taken over by a Satan-like creature that plans to dominate the universe again.
There's so much in this first episode that I would need to write pages and pages to do it justice.
