Army of Ghosts

Well, what an episode! And so many rumours denounced. The ghosts from Unquiet Dead have nothing to do with it. The creatures that the Cybermen form an alliance with are totally unexpected. Adeola, the character some news outlets were promoting as a possible companion, dies pretty quickly in the episode so, maybe she won't, unless she's another character. But I'll talk more in detail with lots of spoilers here

Follow up:

Daleks! I'd read several posts from 'in-the-know' fans that said that the Daleks would be in it, but after what happened at the end of Season 1 of the new series I figured Russell wouldn't bring them back so soon. I'm impressed with the way that this has been kept a secret. And finally, after 40 years - in a high nasal voice - "The Daleks and the Cybermen have a war"!!!
Those of you who didn't look away when the trailer for the next episode aired would probably like to know who gets killed first by the Daleks. Well, there are a number of possibilities but it will probably be Raj.
Also, it is unlikely, with so much going on, that a new companion turns up. This is likely to happen in the Christmas special. The entire hour will probably be devoted to character development.
So, with Cybermen everywhere, can the Doctor reverse the process and separate the two Earths?
Can't wait for the next episode. This definitely makes up for Love & Monsters and Fear Her!

Extra info added later: Freema will be the new companion - Martha Jones. The Doctor meets Martha in the Christmas special!

It's quite sad that this season has had its fair share of not-good-enough-to-watch-again episodes.
I watch episodes from 2005 over and over again because they're always interesting, but this year, Girl in the Fireplace, and the Satan Pit are probably the only two worth repeating.
I loved watching every episode, but after I see it once, I have no interest in watching it again.
In the old days, there was repeatability in the episodes, now not so much.

Doctor Who - has been running since 1963. This jaunt through space and time has continued thanks to great scripts and changing casts. Another new series in 2006 continues the journey. Tune into this blog for irregular commentary and screen grabs!
