New companion Martha Jones played by Freema Agyeman

02:44:56 pm, Categories: science fiction and fantasy Yes it's true. Even though Freema played Adeola in Army of Ghosts, and gets killed pretty quickly for her troubles, she returns in series 3 as Martha Jones and joins the TARDIS. Contrary to other reports she is not in the Christmas special.
News outlets are reporting this as the first black companion in the TARDIS but Mickey took that honour. Perhaps this is the first continuous black companion in the TARDIS.
In any case, congratulations Freema. I will definitely be looking forward to seeing her in the new stories and have my eyes glued to the screen... for the excellent plots and acting, of course! :p
