If you're teaching English in Australia one of things you'll learn pretty quickly is that just about every second private student wants to study for IELTS. Usually they believe that you probably don't know much about teaching IELTS so it is a nice surprise for them when you pull out all your notes about it when they mention it.

When giving a lesson on IELTS it's best to concentrate on the speaking part of the test. After all, they come to you because opportunities to practice speaking English are probably few and far between.
